What does he think of his matt?

Fitted mine today and I love it

First off remove right hand side of scuttle

Then get down with modifying it as the supplied one is tacky and is a poor fit

break out the paint filler and hack saw and you are left with a hole

Going to repaint it another day but its hard to get a good finish in this weather so it will do for now

Then spend about 30mins trying to get this most annoying rubber thing back on

Remove old massive heavy factory airbox and fit in the heat shield

Then I got creative with some red silicone hosing to re route the breather

Trial fit

Done

Then I fitted on the air scoop

(excuse the silver self tapers its all I have until I get some camlocks)

Took it out for a little drive to check it was all ok sounds awsome when switching to v-tec now and you really can feel the difference higher up the revs

Nice deep sound

Clever little place to put the intake, how noticable is it from the front?!
Seen the mugen ones where you have to buy the grill with the intake in top right hand side of grill!

Get some other fixings before some chav unscrews your carbon intake

its not that noticable from the front and you cant see it inside the car as its behind the wiper

Chris its got a drain hole and the filter sits alot further back.

Yer I went to halfords to look at fixings but they only do trim clips which are just as bad

Might have to go for a spot of glue as well

It was the one that kevin_m was selling. Although there have been a good few for sale in the last week on there.

Spent all morning cleaning the car today. Never letting it get that dirty again it was like scraping sludge off of the wheels

cant see it been too risky myself, well not with the kind of driving I do. The AEM's dont sit that far down do they? Just above the fogs?

Sounds similar to my golf one which sits behinds the lower pass side grill infront of the wheel. Been fine so far, should only have problems if you submerge it and floor it!
