Bloke paid £300 for the bodies, adapter to inlet, laptop with software, and megasquirt ecu off ebay. Just wait for another bargain like that to come round

If it was me i would go for a nova, ive always been a fan of the 8v engines, even standard the 1.6 8v is a very good engine for its time! Although your 106 does look fantastic and probably goes like a dream too, but how long will it last?
a friend of mine has had a nove GSI for about 7 years now, and it honestly hasnt ever missed a beat, the only things that have been replaced are wearing parts i.e tyres, pads, discs, exhaust etc!
IMHO i would feel comfortable with giving a 1.6.8v abuse every day, but im not sure i can say the same about the 106 mate!
Nova for me mate

106 for me, if you buy a nova you are a gay, unless you get a saloon... then i may change my mind.

106 hands down but the fibre glass bits will make it a death trap
Sell that for a Nova you will regret it

Fad it's already a death trap mate It has nothing at all to protect me except maybe smashing me in the head with the steering wheel so that I die in my sleep.

Two of my mates had an AX GT and a 106 XSi when I was in 6h form man they were so quick in comparison to my 1.4 sport
Nova will be rustty and you'll have to spend on body work keep the 106....the fact is its prolly less of a death trap than the Nova
