Well I dont know how easy it is to remove spray paint like some folk obviously do but I just got to that conclusion from thinking it would need a respray & new hood!!

Would need to be something like Sonus Grey clay to shift that, but then you seriously risk scratching the paint! I'd be getting someone to use a machine and some strong cutting compound if that fails like Ollie suggests some fine wet sanding will shift it but a scary task

Yep, been thinking that all the way through reading this.

My keying happened around 16 months ago now, and I heard from the police once in that time - the day after it happened, saying there was no point them coming out as it had been raining so no fingerprints could be taken from it

I've never been 100% sure about who did it, but I have my suspicions, and again it involves a woman Although I showed the twat it didn't bother me - I've been driving round with it like that since it happened, as all those at PVS this year will tell you, purely as I can't afford to respray it, as a student!

Sorry to see it happen Sandsy, it really is just a cowardly act of somebody who won't deal with any issues face to face

I would just go out and sort the car out, the police arent going to do anything. It will piss your ex off more to see you driving about the next day as if nothing has happened.

Plod won't do any fingerprinting or anything if that's what you're holding out for. Car has been rained on

Yer I would have thought so too. As if the surface isnt prepped the paint wont bind properly. If the car had a good layer of wax on it it will help matters further

Doens't look as bad as it did in the night pics which is a good thing!

Aggressive clay and a good cutting compound should shift that, hopefully without the need of any wet sanding.

Also, what sort of paint was it, you may be able to find something that removes / breaks it down just by looking at the ingredients etc on the tin...
