I think its all a bit overkill all that cleaning - its certainly not for me!!

I also laughed at the post when he picked it up - told the dealership to not touch it remove factory transit protection / PDI / wash it etc incase it marked the paint, then say he should have knocked it back because it had a slight blemish in the paintwork but which wasnt very visable to the eye - bit of OCD perhaps? Each to their own though!!

Is it just me that think that his Numberplates totally ruin the look of the car?

Just looks like he's pressed the "Random Style" button on fancyplates.com

I think the pics are great. Heavily photoshopped though so I'd like to see the originals, but certainly chooses some great backgrounds and positioning etc.

I really need to have a go at getting those in car shots.

Rig the camera up so it stays still inside, long exposure, captures the inside perfeectly and the outside is moving, I keep meaning to attempt it but not sure how to mount the camera

Each to their own tbh. Some of us like to try and get 300bhp out of a standard 1.2 corsa whilst others want to be heard from 8 miles away. Detailing is just after area of car modifications and like other areas it can be taken right to the edge!

Its a shame that he bought a white car as the results would have been if he had focus all his attention on a dark colour like blue or black... then again, I guess its a test to get the best out of a difficult colour such as white.

Each to their own

Ive got an in car mount that should work if attached to the back screen

Although it might not be stable enough a brace between the rear pannels would be the best I would assume

I agree, even my Corsa after a simple bucket and sponge wash would look clean, so I think his efforts are wasted on a white car, IMO

In a hatchback you can get someone to sit in the boot and hold the tripod

you only need to do about 10mph to get the effect. you need a mega wide angle lens to make the most of it, probably about 12mm focal length

He had an arden blue astra vxr that he done a mega detailing session on. It'll be on that forum under his username somewhere. Good read up if you appreciate the effort. The results are superb, even on a brand new car

Got to give the guy credit causing such a stir on forums left right and centre.

He is clearly good at what he does hence why he works on some of the most amazing cars out there.

Thats not too obcessive at all.

Arnold clark have been informed that Polished Bliss (ie. My brother and Rich) will be coming to inspect the Focus RS when it gets delivered. They are also under strict instruction to leave all transportation material and body wraps on the car. They will be checking the depth of the paint with the micrometer and checking for any overspray.

I agree with you, I think he does have a OCD to car cleaning.

I don't like the pics, too photoshopped for my liking. To me it looks like the car has been cut out and pasted onto a lot of the backdrops I also think what hes done with the wheels looks rubbish!
