sometimes I'll go from 3rd to 6th, always use 1st, 2nd then 3rd though.

bounces off the limiter sometimes, but thats only when it stalls and plays up that i give it some!! on private roads of course! ! 
and when lads in the modified cars think its fun to try race me cause' im a girl in a car that is modified and couldnt possibly go fast 
modified cars are like magents! everyone just thinks you want to race

i used to enjoy banging mine off the hard limiter in 1st and 2nd as it was like a shot gun. great fun in tunnels and under bridges.

Never ever above 3krpm if it's cold. Always allow it to warm up. 1) because you should 2) it sounds dog rough when cold - it is an XE afterall 
But it gets a good booting when warm on most drives. Normally when I have to though i.e. slip roads, junctions and such

Never have done in the 1.0, I always try and keep it under 3k revs for petrol consumption etc, when the sport was running I gave it alot more abuse and thats only because the car used to piss me off and break alot

cruising in 5th gear at 70mph is not considered booting it deano

Whilst 5krpm may not even break yours into a sweat, mine is revving its nuts off, gives a high pitched noise and starts loosing power

my work van gets it everywhere flat out from cold etc,
dont really drive thw bmw being autospastic it doesnt really have the same appeal
