Dunno if I should "let my hair down" for a few months (was looking at 172's and 147's) or get something dirt cheap to run (CDTi C etc) and get my toy to play with (106XSi or similar)

just have a 172 full stop. Will be perfectly fine and both and isnt ridiculously expensive to run.
Running two cars will cost alot more and be more hassle in the long run

Thing is, I want to have a bit of a laugh, learn some track stuff, and if the worse happens, a 172 is a lot to just "write off".
Hence a nice daily run and a 106XSi to play with for now, really cheap to run and tax, parts are dirt cheap as well plus I wanna learn how to do things, brakes, suspension etc etc.

£200/300 sounds cheap enough for a little track toy or whatever but it soon adds up. Insurance/tax/MOT? Tyres, and fixing it if something goes wrong. If you've got the money for an expensive hobbie like that then go for it obviously

Insurance is £96, tax is £68.50/125 (probably only bother in the summer?), parts are fairly cheap and I won't be modding said runaround either so I can actually see it being cheaper?

I've fucked my rear passenger one going through the drive through. Was already curbed when I got the car though
Gonna wait until next year and get them refurbed/powder coated I think
