my 1.6 16v gets around 32ish normally, going to ISTS this year though on the motorway managed to get near 48mpg with quite some weight in the car!!!
Careful driving and downhill coasting involved there though aswell as long 50mph sections of the A1

I've never worked mine out, not really fussed what it is tbh. I do alot of short joruneys to and from work (about 5 miles there and back) and then the odd drive through the local country lanes when I'm bored.

Never bothered to work it out in the Corsa - it's wank. Does around 350 miles to a tank

Van varies depending on where I'm working during the week, how much gear I'm lugging around etc, but is between 38 and 46 mpg

Oh and my 182 was great on fuel.

depends how much you payed for the fuel if it was 50p a litre then your mpg is crap if you paid £2.50 a litre for race fuel then you have the most economic scoob in the world

I get ya......Say it was 98 pence?

I get 62 out of the Corsa. It is a 1.3 cdti and I do 500 miler per week in it

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Some peoples definition of thrashing might mean 4k revs - Yours might mean bouncing on the limiter and sitting in low gears around town etc!
