Going to look at an 03 S3 with 54k on the clock, 1 owner and FASH etc. Same kind of life my astra has had tbh so it will be good to compare the two. Going to put the astra back to standard map before so i can compare performance diffrence @ standard tune
I think i would only drop the audi for look's, im not going to be on death charge around a track any time soon...eva probilly

The handling will feel wierd at first, well I found going from my corsa to the quattro TT weird!
Going into corners I knew very well and took at silly speeds in a corsa I felt a bit un easy. After driving and getting used to it, thats a different story!
Maybe different going from Astra GSi to S3 but if it feels weird at first, give it chance.
Remap should get you around 260bhp easily.

Probably will, not really a fair comparison though. Decked Astra against a standard S3 which aren't to good on standard suspension.

not ecactly like an s3 handles badly though is it lets be fair my brothers got an s3 standard apart from a remap to 275 at jabba, and he dont complain about the handling.

I just think Haldex is over hyped due to the fact Audi sell it based on the rally version of years a go
Fundamentally the car is 2 wheel drive and transfer power to the rear via a torsion converter if above 15mph and the car detetcs slip
When driving hard through corners this power transfer is not slick and can sometimes upset the car
IMO its not very good and the S3 with standard power does not need 4wd drive to put the power down - it just adds weight
However they are a nice car but the same as a TT. Personally the TT looks better

Just thought I'd top this again, finally got to drive a holy grail VXR today. Wasn't really impressed with it, didn't feel particularly quick, infact I'd go as far as to say from standing I reckon my 225 S3 wouldn't be embarassed, the VXR certainly can't launch as well as my car. Also it was so skittish, tram-lining everywhere, floor it in first and it was squirming everywhere.
Shame Ollie is in Germany or we could have a day long debate/arguement about it.
