Never got one in my life until september when i was white as amilk bottle and going away in october, ended up getting about 6 or 7 and it helped me come back brown and stay browner. I wouldn't get them unless it was to avoid looking like a milk bottle for the first few days of a holiday.

Not gay.
I use them when my skin has a break out due to the 'roids, also use them before I go on holiday, 6 minutes twice a week for a couple of weeks to get a base tan.
It's actually very therapeutic as well.

You'd have to be pretty vein to risk skin cancer in order to have an un-natural looking tan. You've got to remember you live in the UK, you're meant to look white not orange.

People that go every week every year are stupid I accept that, but it's safer for me to do 12 minutes a week and have a base tan then to turn up on holiday and burn to a crisp.

The trouble with that is Davey, is that being from an Anglo Saxon country where by we have fair skin, even the best sun protection isn't always going to work.
If you have a base tan you don't burn.

If I do a quick bit of mig'ing without a mask I get a tan too

Agreed, it's safer in the long run that turning up to somewhere hot and burning every day.

Yes, it's lovely especially the Island we were on Boa Vista.
Only thing on the island is the hotel so you have to be prepared to sit around and do NOTHING all day long
