I understand your opinion, I considered it, then I decided you needed to get a grip.
Its a car, not a rare one, not a one of a kind, not one some guy has poured blood a sweat in to over the last 20 years - just a plain and simple (cheap) car.
i didnt see what it added to the programe by destroying it ? sorry for not conforming cosmo
As it made it more entertaining to watch him going round driving it like that than if he did a bog standard road test. I bet a lot more people retained the information he came out with this way than if he was just driving it about also.

i like those twingo sport version things. nice cars. 133bhp are they not?
why are people moaning about it? it's a piece of metal that is mass produced right now, not 30+ years ago.
not like they've destroyed an e type jag etc etc.
if they destroyed the proper lancia stratos thed i'd understand, but not a modern cheap supermini.
as someone said, good advertising.

It's pretty wasteful though, the people complaining have a valid point as it highlights the disposable nature of society these days.
Sorry for getting too deep for the rest of you, watch this video, you'll find it amusing:

TBH you wont get normal people going out and doing the same, if so then Id agree with the above statement.
Instead this was a TV show doing it using what Id guess was a freebie car from Renault. They spend more than that on other stunts where they dont destroy anything and is all costs associated with making an entertainment programme which in turn brings in the advertising revenue.

It may be a press type car that has to be disposed of. I know that when test tracks use manufacturers demo cars for track days etc they can't be sold afterwards and need to be got rid of.

retards can't even get their story right.
''A year later, The Hamster had yet another crash. He was shunted off Silverstone's famous track by a fellow driver while driving a Bugatti Veyron at speeds of more than 100mph.
He was racing a Typhoon fighter jet at the time.
The father-of-two was taking part in the Britcar 24-hour race with fellow Top Gear presenters Clarkson and James May when he crashed into a barrier at speed.''
they used a diesel bmw for the endurance race which crashed. the veyron was used in a totally seperate clip which raced the jet. he didn't crash in that?
idiots at daily mail tbh.

I think Jezza definitely 1up'd himself from the fiesta in the shopping centre
And crashing the Twingo in the ice rink was funking funny.
Nice to see Ross take one for the team.
Also the food cater van unloading on the track was brilliant

Pretty much certain that would be the case.
The Aygos and Foxes used for teh football games were the same.
People getting upset about a car gtting trashed really need to get a grip on life. If I win the lottery I would buy a nice expensive car and set fire to it. Why, because I can that's why.

i agree with JR
Destroying the car had no relevance to the car - Ok to drive it like ti should be driven but hitting walls etc - what does that show - that it can get damaged
Just pointless - It maybe only 12k of car but I am sure that comes out of someones pocket

The random races are always a laugh The only thing that annoys me is that Hammond always says at the beginning "no body contact" and then they get the same touring car drivers and guess what happens... some vehicles get wrecked.
