I don't have heated grips. Do you stop riding your scooter at all? I really don't want to and the only thing that will prevent me is when the snow has settled.

I think I'll let some air out of the tyres to get a bit more grip.

Im yet to put my "gaymuffs" on yet (them handlebar covers that the couriers use). But after this morning, I will be tonight. I had painfull little fingers Rest of me was ok though.

Mind you, last year I rode in this. Which makes me a double ard bastard, or stupid. I got through it, until my garage road which was covered in snow. I wasn't even at idle speed in 1st gear, had to keep dropping the clutch, and it slid underneath me, bungs did their job (Bandit).

Then binned it coming down here..

Oh, we have no snow here yet, but some white clouds. Bloody Londoners heat will melt it all in the clouds so it'll arrive here as rain.

Ollie,

Nope do not stop ride all year round... really hate public transport. mind you all the roads to work are treated so it makes life easier, however not i have moved there will be 2 sie roads before i can get to a treated one, however i have ridden on a road covered in snow before and you just need to go careful.

Gaimo...

I have the gaymuffs on aswell these really help the heated grips to keep your hands warm on the lowest setting as it keeps the wind off....

Gaymuffs AND heated grips.

You women!

No actually, your just smart

Treated roads suck, salt makes them like ice rinks. You can ride in the snow, as you say, just got to be cautious..

Oh wait, I have a very squared off tyre, arse...

Bloke at work who usually rides his DT125 into work has just said to me "you're mad riding to work in this"

It's not that bad, just slow down and keep the bike upright

I'm going to stick with it as I'm not going to use the Astra until the new year and I'm not getting on a fucking bus that takes 1 hour to get to where I work when it takes 15 mins on a scooter at a slower pace than usual.

Wouldn't be worried about "falling" off the scooter, I'd be more worried about the cars sliding about and hitting me if I was on a scooter. :/

Damm right with no whale blubber unlike Seths 'rides' i have to take all possible measures to ensure i'll make it to work without going completely blue!

as for your earlier question, my journey each way is about 13 miles.
