Agreed.
Everyone goes into meltdown over it. It's like "omg snow; I'll forget how to drive now."

Do you even have a licence?

If you can't (or won't) go to work, you shouldn't get paid really.

Never mind whether it is your fault or not, you are paid for the time you are working for the company.

If you genuniely can't get to work, then yeah its probably a bit unfair, but in my eyes no work = no pay.

Went in for a half day yesterday, as Puntos seem to have a nice problem of the handbrake seizing up but when the sun came out it was better. Tried this morning and nearly hit two cars going down my road! Thought I'd attempt a corner and ended up going round it sideways lol... so parked up and gave up.

They haven't said whether they're docking me or not at work, I've only been there a couple of weeks lol. However, if I carry on I will crash my car, so I'm fully prepared to loose a days pay as it's less than it would cost to repair a crash!

This is what bothers me, I'm taking it very steady as I don't want to tarnish my immaculate NCB by sliding into someone.

We don't go in we don't get paid.

Simples.

p.s. They'd probably let you take holiday and if you lived further away than most they'd have a softer stance.

We pretty much have to go in. If you cant make it to your own station then you just go closest one to your house. Had some people walking 3-4 hours to get in. If you absolutly can't, a traffic officer in 4x4 will come pick you up

It's time like this I actually appreciate my office for not being twats, it does help the managers all work out in the sticks though and can't get to work.

I think if they were within walking distance the scenario would be different.

I do miss certain aspects of my last job...

Whatever the reason you couldn't get in, they wouldn't really care. Always got full pay I had a whole week off once lol.

at our place loads of people didnt come in because of the 'bad snow'

i came to work everyday, had a bit of a struggle first thing on the side roads and some others, but i enjoy the trip to work because you get see immense examples of incompetence from drivers who believe that the world is ending because of snow.

i was snowed in, about 5 inches of snow, so i let car tires down, drove out to main road, then pumped em up again.

We get 'special leave', which you have to apply for through senior management and assuming there happy in your justification you just book your time to that number.

Though the site was officially declaired closed wednesday night, to be reassessed on Sunday. 5 day weekened ftw.

I have seen hundreds of examples of this, and today its been worse. Some total flids either not compensating for the snow and ice or over compensating. 3 people at our office have written off cars in as many days. Tards !

Same as me.
The downside is your stuck indoors too much.
Luckily I had to play skittles last night, got out the house for a few beers

pussies.

paul, love the video. wheels look fake, dunno why?

i have trouble getting out my driveway, bit of power and it goes, albeit no traction

nearly hit a fence coming home from work. half the road was gritted, half wasn't. kind of hit both patches at the same time and had to correct the slide. work mate shit himself

Coming down here a fuck load atm.

Got the Corsa stuck 3times yesterday.

Was out lastnight. Going down a steep hill which lead on to a main road. I got out to stop cars coming along so my GF could dive down it. All I can here is a horn, I turn around and shes flying down the hill sidewards! Luckily she managed to stop somehow!
