What's it like?? Quick? I remember reading about that big company that charged them but in the end rekoned turboing was by far the better route to more power.

Been in 2 charged CTRs now. one an EP3 the other an EK9 and I gotta say the EK9 impressed me more.

Both were JRSC bolt on kits.

Rotrax (I think thats the name) kits are supposed to be the dogs for big bhp

yer the jackson racing ones are the cheaper lower psi ones. Will still see 300bhp though.

Rotrex and a front mount will see you more power

Yer CPL down in kent do alot of the conversion on them and elises with the honda engine.

They are like big power corsas. ie struggle for grip but once on the move are great. The one I went in was better the second time once it has a quaife put in

This one looks brisk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEGjtyQ_Zh8&feature=fvw

I can

It was a very affordable 200 BHP hot hatch

Not much could touch them when they first come out - all the competition then raised their game

i would have a CTR over a scooby everyday off the week. But ultimately it depends what scooby it is

standard turbo scoobys are not that quick

Even a standard one would beat a CTR mate... and 99% aren't standard and i'd rather have a car that can be tuned easily TBH unlike the CTR.

260? the teg gets 220 miles to a tank if you're lucky

also, insurance difference between the CTR and the scooby is astronomical, at least for me anyway. £700 for the integra, similar figures for the civic, £2k+ for a UK classic WRX, somehow i don't think so

Errrrrr no that's because there power to weight ratio is fuck all....On the road Torque is King.

Cars need Torque to lug the weight around and make them quick.I've driven loads of CTR's and been dissapointed to say the least. The S2000 on the other hand uses the engine/weight to it's advantage and is so much better to drive albeit very skittish.

A car without a Torque figure that matches or nears it's BHP output will never really feel as quick as it should be on paper.

I could real off a few cars as examples, and the qoutes from major car magazines if you like??

torque is not king

Its all relative. look at M3's etc they rev high and compared to peak power produce very little torque
