I always thought they had a much more advanced suspension set up and higher bhp.

Oh well looks like the extra £££ just for white paint aint really worth it.

The wheels are also slightly wider giving more grip, and being 18's they are much lighter and better for handeling.

They do have a higher BHP, standard they are 237bhp mine got 252bhp with the exhaust.

The Remus is now £1000 to buy from a tuner and is the biggest factor when moving through the tuning stages as it's the most expensive part to buy, it meant I could go straight to stage 2 when Thorney done a deal for the Bluefin for £300 quid where if you had a standard Astra VXR it's going to cost you £1500.

More thank you think.

I saw 2 VXR/R being prepped when I was up there.

I think about 15 have been sold. I haven't seen a single one on the road or track though.

Was gonna say, phase 3 and 4 isn't it?

270/300, with 4 pots, coilovers, arb's, buckets, cage etc isn't it?

Those cars are destined to be thrashed round race tracks. Would love a pop in one.

300bhp, 4 pots, coilovers, RARB, diff, buckets and cage were option extras.

Personally and I've said it time and time again I would go and buy a second hand VXR for 10k that has been well maintained and spend 5k on making it as good and still have another 10k in my pocket.

I think Stocker went out in one when he went to Thorney.

All this posted for all to see on a public forum, nothing like that happens in Devon. If it had been Luton I might have happened to believe him, but Devon?

I've seen a VXR-R down Lakeside, looked good but as mentioned I think I'd rather do it to a normal one and still have plenty of money in pocket.

FPMSL, that is the same one that the lad in Devon swapped for his Arctic as that had black plates.

No wonder he wanted rid if it was being thrashed to fuck.

Nah nah its not the same one, i spoke to the lad with the VXR-R in lakeside. He went up to scotland and bought it, he sold his burg to buy it.

He was saying how much of an improvement the brakes and LSD are to the car, and how much fun it is abusing it
