why - you do next to no miles so a high miler should not be an issue

You want one post 2004... Ones from earlier, the 3.2's suffered from shitty cheap stem seals, they changed them in the very late 2003's so 2004 reg onwards should be solid.
Also make sure its been serviced properly, and check the coolant. Oil coolers have a habit of popping on them and dumping the oil into the coolant system. Oil cooler is about £120+VAT retail, and an interesting job to replace.
And if you get error lights up saying about emissions... Just ignore them, they have a pre-cat which is shit tbh, so just move the first O2 sensor's from before them to after to sort it. They always do this.

I've still not found one with low enough mileage and a manual box. Found an auto but i feel that will be expensive if i need to replace.
There's also another thread in the PL.

Actually, scrap that, my friends dads one did fail.
His mum put a bag on the passanger floorwell, got in, put her feet down, and the floor fell through.
Granted it hadn't been washed since new, and was on about 160k, but still

I had a blast with one of these vectras and it sounded nice but the mondeo was all over it. Nice cars for the money though.
