While i was down in Hereford at Easter, we visited the SAS graveyard. I was quite suprised to see how may die without us knowing...and the average age was about 26.
And, i saw the graves of the unfortunate Bravo Two Zero guys. Crazy, it made it "real" if you know what i mean...not just a book or BBC film.

ooo...interesting. I've read Chris Ryan's account ("the one that got away"), and seen the film...the differences are interesting, and its pretty obvious that he had no time for McNab what so ever.

Yeah, as you say though, its a matter of opinion.
I've got a great interest in it all, and because we (the public) can't be told the truth, i thrive on the fiction (which more often then not is based on the truth anyway)

So far his war on the police has been pretty shit. He's shot one officer and is now hiding in some bushes somewhere. What a fucktard, he still gonna get shot.

He'd been in the army for about 12 years, travelled the world, been to Iraq & Afghan numerous times amongst other places, got a good pension etc. etc.
He just wanted to start thinking about settling down with someone and his previous relationships hadn't worked due to him being away a lot so decided to get a job at home and leave the Army/SAS. He's 30 now, done a decent stint and seen enough of the world/war so cant blame him really!

I think it was 4, possibly 5 years. I remember him coming back from doing the tests for getting in to the SAS. He'd been away for weeks with them trying to break him physically and mentally. Came back looking like a different person, lost loads of weight and he wasn't in any way fat before hand.

Wut part of my message is missing, lets try that again.
We don't speak funny up here, its everyone outside the north east that has a funny accent, I know this because I've been to London and stuff.
Where is Lynny these days anyway aint seen her posting for a while, it was fun baiting the humourless wench, I dare say if she ever sees me while shes on duty I'll be getting arrested for anything she can think of as shes not that far from my area

Not a clue. I could ask but it'd be a random thing to text and ask him out of the blue

SAS members aren't really supposed to go around telling people they're in the SAS, its all secretive stuff, obviously I don't know if he was or wasn't (good on him if he was) but you can buy SAS cap badges etc on the market and all the other SAS stuff, I'd be wary of people who claimed they were in the SAS.
