I liked the fact my old one was still in warrenty, great fun to drive, I found the gear leave crap, and had the box replaced, and the bloody nocking used to do my head in. The main problem was the dealers didn't seem to have a clue about them i,e how to fix it I don't know if they are any better now Not very fast in a straight line, but you could hound most stuff on a back road

brother had clio 172 which has been tweeked a little and is great fun, and is good on track!

u should try have a go in clio 197/200 next!

compared to having the van and vx220 which is both very fast i would say the clio is as much fun just cos the overall package is beta!

fun, not to fast that u get scared but fast enough to drive it hard and not be doing sill speeds! fantastic handling! i love the 197!

one good mod for your 172 which brother did was fit ferodo ds2500 pads, stops really well now i was shopcked when i drove it at anglsey track few weeks back :-)

bro has brembo i think also, i was not really looking forward to driving the car at anglset but then said come on lets swap so he had the van i i drove the clio, was well impressed, no fade from brakes and so much fun on the 888's, could pick and choose your line through the corner more then driving the van but van just had the extra power whioch helped it be faster!

both van and clio good on track but clio i would say prob more fun, was hard staying on the seat round the bends , lol

Ok so the mpg / fuel guage is broken?

Let me put it into terms that a man could understand. How long would it take to empty the tank with it bouncing on the readline constantly? In minutes please.

Paul - 35mpg is a normal figure tbh, even with ragging it abit, it never goes under 30. 44mpg on the motorway

Im not sure wether it was the PH1 or both but if you fit a 182 manifold to it, you will see some decent gains

No, just 172 so costs more to have the belt done.
