I did an integra at the ring in my 172 cup though, and on paper they are pretty even. Thing I dont like about MR2s is that from many videos ive watched and stuff ive read, they seem very unforgiving. This is why we got an MX5 over one in the first place.

Who is Mark, Gavin? That integra looks great. Wonder what the higher mileage ones are like realistically.

If you're buying one already done it wouldn't be the end of the world to have it for a bit and move it on if you're not happy.

Is it staying road-legal?

Ive done a couple of days with him at brands. Know him through a civic site. He did a breif spell of work over at RSR at the ring. Hence having a turbo mx5 and alot of ring pictures

Higher milage should be fine as long as its been looked after. Gearbox and diff will be the one that will show the miles if anything. As will the interior but this isnt an issue for your purposes.

Think the fact that the dc2 has a diff out the box will be the biggest benifit over a clio

Although if you do FWD go back to your roots and go french as that will get you the most £ for £ track fun.

Mines cost be £1800 and if you stripped it out and caged it it would be a good track car

If you go RWD I think a MX5 will still be your best and safest bet

What work did he do at RSR? I forgot the tegs are LSD as standard. Meant to be really good handling. If they are anything like S2000s though they will fall out of vtec on track which could be frustrating.

Thing is, you would've done a ITR in your 172, but you'll do 172's in a ITR.

It all comes down to drivers. E.g. you driving a 172 cup would beat average joe in a ITR, but that doesn't mean the 172 cup is faster.

On paper the ITR should walk it... check the vids on youtube about ITR.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34H2MCPEUV8

14.5 1/4 miles and ultimate handling...

I'm still tempted by one

what mpg do they do lol.

The early mk2's are, but they revised the suspension setup to make them more safe

Buy my E36 328 coupe £2500, sell the interior for £400 and suspension for £100, that gives you £1000 for coilovers and a pair of buckets.
In it's current guise at Silverstone ISTS I was lapping as fast as a 300bhp VXR 'burg, 270bhp Focus RS, 260bhp 200SX, much faster than a teg R, going past an elise 111s (or whatever the code is) and able to hold off novaneil's 260bhp 'super fast' Astra coupe

Well I need to sell the golf and the mx5 first! Im surprised at how cheap integras are at the moment. Paul, what you doing? are you keeping the s2000? Youve been a bit quiet recently.

I wouldn't go for the e36 3.0L m3, I would go for the 3.2L why?
twin oil pickups
oil restrictor valve to stop oil surge
faster steering rack
more powerful

You won't get a 3.0L or 3.2L for under £3k but the evos aren't even that much more at all, you can get 3.0L and evos for £4k.
