When i changed cars, my current insurance wouldn't insure me, i had 4 months left. Got a few quotes with the exta years no claims and it made fook all difference so cancelled anyway.

I have just bought a 2000 model 330ci with full BMW SH and only 72k on the clock for 4k. Has had one owner the last 7 years as well whom is a guy at my gym so I also know the history.
Its perfect for what I wanted it for which was a comfortable commuter to do 30 miles a day of which 80% is dual carriage way and 20% town. It is currently averaging exactly 30mpg and is not driven in a grandad manner.
for the money I cant fault it and its a great all rounder.

I was always with Tesco until i went with Greenlight last year, changed back to Tesco since. Tried all the other usuals, direct line, AA, Brentacre, Admiral, Elephant ect and Tesco always come out cheapest.

Tis a bit of a ball ache, plus if you pay monthly you have to pay a deposit again. I was quite suprised to get a cheque through from Greenlight for over £100 for canceling over 4 months ago, wasnt expecting anything.

The 330d will be 184 if they are the old version or 214BHP to 231 BHP dependant on year
the 231BHop will remap to around 285 BHP
the E46 320i is a 2.2 6 cylinder
The e46 320d had 136bhp in the early ones and 150bhp in the later ones, the 163bhp engine is in the e90.
The 150bhp e46 will remap to 175-185bhp

330d's in the e46 are either 184 for a early one or 204bhp for a 2003 onwards
they didnt do a 231bhp version in the e46, that was the e90 diesel
