I found my van pretty unstable under braking without a front ARB. If your car handles better without one it's because your shocks are too stiff, which is stopping your front end from leaning into the bend.

If your on the road you need to have a more forgiving step-up, or it will just bounce all over the place.

I'm with Nic, Corsa's are pretty good fun to drive, and I've had a fair few drives cars in my time.

They dont.

I would imagine a Vectra challenge car to be a different story though.

Just for the record,ive had 2 Corsa's.

1 with C20XE with Koni's set to suit and -40mm springs and no front ARB.Handled ok.

2nd was a 1.0 with a -60mm Gmax kit.Handled ok.

Key word being OK.Didnt feel very good or rewarding.Really felt un-stable.

Current Saxo Vtr with stock suspension feels 1000x better. No body roll and can through it into corners without it diving all over the place.

I would imagine a Corrado VR6 or the likes being the same as the Saxo.

I had a VTR before my Astra and I didn't like the handling at all, VTS wasn't much better either.

And you haven't owned a properly setup corsa yet so you can't say they all handle crap.

Possible lift of over steer to induce a good bit of side ways on the large traffic island.

You looked at the brake compensator also may have too much bias to the rear after lowering.

I say decent suspension is the most important thing.

On my Nova I went from gmax to spax rsx and the difference was unreal.

Quite happy with the set up on mine. It seemed to be better than what Internet people say by a vast margin.

My old B sxi had -40mm on gmax shocks/springs and it would change direction very well and you could get pretty good lift off oversteer when you wanted, BUT when it oversteers without warning, it was a complete bellend to get it straight again, because it would grip then understeer, grip oversteer, etc until it got straight thats why I personally think they are fun cars but bad handling when you don't need it, as for the my bmw its forgiving everytime, just point the front wheels the way you want to go, that is a good handling car but maybe not as fun as the corsa mmm.

Either that or they can see past the not so good points of them.Handling being 1 of them.

sat on back of vectra v6 challenga cars on corners all day long at oulton. i can see past the clueless idiots on here with daft comments

very true nic.

But corsa's don't handle brillianly to start with, but can be improved on.

My old Corsa disspelled the myth to many people on here that they can be made to handle and actually be better than the suppsed cars that are ment to handle.

It just requires some common sense.

Corrado probably has more weight over the rear than what a whole Saxo weighs.

Would love a Corrado, the look fappin awesome.

Does any1 on here have 1??

Even my GF says the Saxo handles like a wee go kart. And thats while shes driving wearing her fake Uggs.

The saxo vts I owned handled like a bag of shit. My old xe corsa would piss all over it in the corners. Just to confirm the saxo was lowered and had front and rear arbs.

The gti honestly handled like it was on rails. One of the best handling cars I've owned. I know people take the piss about them bring the best handling car ever but IMO it's bloody not far off lol

Both my saxo's felt pretty twitchy, couldnt get used to it at all.

I put spax shocks on my valver, made a massive improvement over the Jamex ones that were on it.
Mines handles fine, on my 14" winter wheels its a bit pap thanks to the 60 profile tyres lol.

The 106 Gti has a 24mm RARB whereas the Vts has a 22mm RARB.Thats the only difference, which i cant see how it would have made the handling difference from a bag of shite to on rails.
