Custard test if for someone who claims to have something a bit special. Say for instance I had a Lambo Gallardo. To prove it i'd have to post a pic with a tin of custard powder, on the car, with the lights on and keys in view.

Its to prevent bullshitters, which there are a few of.

Plato has agreed to try and get custard into one of his voice overs in the show, to prove its him. Also the pics he's posted do pretty much prove it.
