Best one of the lot IMO was Ash Warners, the interior was absolutely astounding.

I'm sure some of those pics you put up were taken by me steve. I think they are on an ancient fotki account i cant get into anymore, along with some other awesome photos
MattC's was cool, I remember going to maxlive in 2001 and stocker's mattc's and a couple other were some of the first cars as you walked in.

The Kent car show where you did your SPL test and we all parked on the bank. That was pretty cool, had so many of the "cool cars" all in one small space
Andy, honestly your corsa was the inspiration that got me into Corsas. Thats why i got the MCR front bumper etc.. Was amazing

What happened to it?
Neglected by owners after me. Sold to Beardy who scrapped and was putting the plate on his twin engined project

I disagree with this. I wish that bodykits were still cool and the thing to do if you're modifying your car. Was so much more fun at shows looking to see what people have done and the different mods people could come up with (marv for example). Now you know what to expect at shows, meets, mags etc. Although people are concentrating more on a cleaner car it does get a bit boring.
These cars posted are much more fun to look at than mabe the 10 of the best of the past few years, speed shouldnt be everything imo.
I suppose it matters what years you were brought up in aswell.

It's nice to know the car inspired people to get into corsas's. Just a shame the folk 10 years on can't appreciate the cars we created way back then these days. Yeah they might look out of place these days, but 10 years ago it was 'normal'

totally agree. It was just the done thing. 2001-2004ish
it did make going to shows/meets a lot more interesting. comparing mods and seeing what ideas people had.
now it seems cosmetic mods are down to a minimum

^^^i thought that corsa was awesome, remember seeing it on the cover of fast car and wondering what it would be like to have a car featured etc
how on earth did you lot get on with those fibreglass front bumpers? were there less speedhumps about back then? lol
styles change but i can totally respect the work and money that went into them, D5NNA and fear's was very very well put together
presumably there was quite a bit of one-upmanship though? especially going through the phase of 18s & 19s etc?
i think the modified scene is still very similar to how it used to be, although the fashions and trends are obviously different these days, there are still loads of tight-knit 'car clubs' about

I remember seeing jackos shell up for sale a good few years ago for around £1k, had the bags for sale aswell and just needed some wheels putting back on, was so tempted to buy it
Somebody else on here did though but havnt heard anything about it since, would be great to see pics of its current state and that goes for all the rest of the cars aswell.

Yep, at Northampton RR Day was when it looked it best. It just needed rid of those Kosei Snipers and fitted with Speedlines.
I hope Donna plans to put it back to that spec.
