This calendar year I'm at about £1200 and haven't even driven it yet

£200 per month for petrol and insurance.
£100 now to pay off the repair bill.
Then maintenance.
Fuel used to be about 12.5p/mile. Probably more like 14p with the price of petrol.

even the corrado comes out quite low, but i put i plan to keep it for 10years and it will be worth more than i paid

it will always be a cost because of petrol, oil, servicing, insurance, tax etc etc.

that stuff you never see back when you sell it.
