My future brother in laws mk4 anni made 245bhp and 400lb/ft today, so your torque figure is well down IMO

All the diesels were making around the same though, a TDI Cupra made 230ft/lb but had 3bhp more, I really do think it either slightly spins on the rollers or the torque is down because every tuner I speak to finds it hard to believe it's only 320ft/lb with 240bhp... A non-hybrid PD150 made 205bhp with 320ft/lb...

Oh and sat with a E46 M3 tonight, the guy is my mate and claimed he wasn't in sports mode (dunno how much difference that made) but didn't leave me at all from 40mph -> 130mph, I was actually easing off a little bit as I was being bombed with stones and having smashed my windscreen only a week before, along with two shattered fogs can't really be doing it any more :-\
He had a passenger though in fairness but still quite happy with that

Were they rolling the cars in 3rd or 4th? 3rd tends to give higher bhp and lower torque figures than 4th.

Diesels have less revs, but more power and effortless overtaking and dont need the tits revved off them to gdt anywhere like a petrol. I can overtake a 60mph car in 5th no bother then slip back into 6th and cruise along
I could do this in 6th with my petrol anni

I sense a bit of doubt lol
My mates old ibiza diesel was mapped to 185bhp and a shed load of torque and had no bother keeping up with my old 270bhp LCR. With another 50bhp and even more torque an M3 shouldnt be that much of a stretch.

Race mine if you want?
Over weight mk4 golf pd130 standard
Awesome figures youve got there, one question did you notice much difference from the dmf and the smf like chatter/vibration?

a standard pd130 is 130bhp with 228lbs a simple remap can see 190bhp and over 300lbs. awesome engines and they still return very high mpg.

Anti lag turbo set up
Thats what ive heard, people buying the 130pd over the 150pd due to the earlier turbo spool.
Im now looking for a new set of tyres for mine, dont realise how easy it munches through tthem in the wet

I still refuse to believe a 250bhp diesel Skoda (expecially with that torque figure) will keep with an M3.
Maybe up to 4k rpm in second gear, after this the M3 will keep going in each gear, the diesel wont.

01 - 06 All are 340 except the CSL which is 360 iirc
95 - 98 All 320 except the 4dr which was 280
Obviously there are then specials etc

TBF there's only 15bhp difference when you do the math of bhp/tonne. Still debatable.

Taken from Parkers
E36
Normal, 286bhp 0-60 5.8
Evo 321bhp, 0-60 5.3
E46
338bhp, 0-60 5.0
CSL 360bhp, 0-60 4.7
Now as one Ibiza has a timed slip from GTi Inters of 0-60 in 5secs...
