I think I will be going for a KO3 turbo with 04 internals which is good for 300bhp, injectors, 4bar fpr, FMIC, zorst, 3" tip and maf, and some mapping

Edit, for info I would be looking at vortex and club gti

Thought the 3" TIP would only fit K04's? Dont think they mate up to the K03s housing?

I reckon owning a B5 S4 for a bit would be cheaper.

You're probably right Ian. I'd get quite a lot of enjoyment from building something a bit different though.

B5 one? Not a bad idea, its the same as the a4 quattro so the running gear is strong. Not sure about how easy they are to find though

K04s dont really priduce much top end boost. If you want big power..300+ you need a big turbo.

q1.i8t engines are ace... onto my third

Your way is deffo cooler in the long run. But in effect your removing a let from a cav turbo and fitting a v6..... Work and cash wasted for nothing imo when you have a very tunable engine fitted

Is the W8 block basically 2 VR6 blocks with the 4 end cylinders chopped off?

Why? if you have a KO3 already, might as well go hybrid, or BT

Hybrid isnt much better tbh...

I have k04 already and have just had the turbo off without bothering to go hybrid... 270ish bhp is more than enough with a map
