Did a bit of house shopping this weekend. Got these two cheapo bargains from argos, getting delivered a week on saturday, bedroom furniture:

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6151850.htm

Sofabed for the spare room:

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6295242/c_1/1|category_root|Home+and+furniture|14417894/c_2/2|14417894|Sofabeds+and+futons|14418251.htm

Also had a look around some sofa places, need to measure up but the two that caught the eye were:

And this (but in black):

Also keeping tabs on this on ebay for the kitchen:

We've also bought loads of other boring stuff (hoover, iron, more kitchen stuff blah blah).

buying all the stuff was the best and worst part for me.

you finally realise it's happening but your credit card takes an absolute hammering

nice one mate, i prefer the leather sofa, easier to clean and leather smells nicer.

I have bought so much stuff already that we're not having to hammer credit cards plus we got some money from family etc too which has helped, quite lucky really.

Cheers mate, I prefer the leather but the missus has found another one she likes now :

Moved in successfully over weekend, place was filthy and spent about 6 hours cleaning it over friday night and saturday morning before moving stuff in

All sorted now, went to order this couch yesterday (she decided she likes it again), went for the extra width (so that it was same length from the corner to each outside edge) have to wait 8 weeks for it though

Will take some pics over next few days, the TV looks tiny because the living room is so big, might have to invest in a projector tbh.

We have it positioned away from the wall for the time-being (until we get some more living room furniture), the room is bigger than it looks from that angle. Will try and remember to get a pic from the other side tonight.

Nath, it's comfy as feck and comfortably seats 7

Despite me going out of my way and spending an hour on the phone every night for a week, my phoneline and BB still aren't in.

19th of May for the phone line now and another week at least on top for broadband.

Sky/BT are idiots.

I went with plusnet for both. The phoneline was 'switched on' 25th April, the BB was then 'switched on' on 2nd May. Neither have worked once yet, numerous phonecalls and texts (they have a weird text service) and they have finally figured out (today) that 'Our testing has identified a fault on your phone line. This has now been raised with our wholesale provider for further investegation' I'll get another text tomorrow saying something similar.
