Ginger boy, if you're here for just a day or so then wander around London EYe to the Houses of Parliament through to Horse Guards Parade past 10 downing st, up The Mall, through Buck House, through Hyde Park, down Oxford St, down Regents St, to Piccadilly Circus and trafalgar sq, thru chinatown into covent gdn and then get yourself to Primrose Hill and enjoy the views with a few beers

London Eye up South Bank to Tower Bridge and Tower of London (taking in St Pauls, the Tate Modern and The City) is a good day too
Olympic Park, Canary Wharf and Greenwich is another great day
Shopping for one day can be fun
Madame Tussauds, Regents Park, London Zoo, Primrose Hill and Camden drinking is another goodun

Houses of Parliament are mightily impressive when you take the time to study them huh, amazing how much work and effort must have gone into them!
Crown Jewels are equally a very cool thing to see, went to ToL when I was kid but to see them again now they just look immense! Totally totally priceless!

The one in NYC yes, the proper full-on one too. Was amazing but very very expensive (+$500 - ex birds 21st last year)

I know of a really dodgy, tight and twisty, fucking steep road that could age a passenger in your car 10 years. A bit similar to the dodgy roads you pointed in my direction.

Hardknott and wynrose.
I loved them, the mrs not so.
So much so that we had to do a detour around the whole of cumbria to get back to Bowness because she said "I ain't fucking going back over that".
Excellent roads and veiws tho, so I aint complaining.

Cool. Sorry about your mrs not loving it, I never thought about that. They are cracking roads! I guess you came back down the coast which is a pretty nice road too

all these people saying they hate london and its a dive clearly dont have a clue...
would say to visit Camden and go around the Camden Lock area.. Great to waste a few hrs.
Hyde Park is really cool, plus you have Park Lane so you will see some very flash cars around that area
Totally depends on what you want from London ?
Personally i love the place and go there all the time

Claridges isn't that impressed, stupidly expensive (final bill was around £350 for 2) for what you get and the food is so so. Probably why it lost a Michelin star last year. Savoy is suppose to be better, yet to try it though.
Jamie Olivers's fifteen is a lot lot better, well worth the trip even if it's for breakfast (paid about £11 for a full-english) in the trattoria area.
Personally I’d head up Soho if you're after food; just stay away from the tourist traps.
