Never read the books, sadly do not have the time, but would love to.
I understand the books have been written in quite a strange way, each chaper primarily focuses on a single character and stories jump back and forth quite alot?
Is it hard to follow?

Alright, watched the two first seasons over the last couple of days, and this show is absolutely SUPERB!
I have one question that someone can hopefully answer.
Major spoiler warning if you haven't seen the end of season two.
What the hell happened to Winterfell in the end?
Theon holds Winterfell with 20 men, but they're surrounded by 500. He orders his men to fight, they knock him out and then what? They light the place on fire and just walk out straight past the 500 men outside?

Its been 6 months since I seen the finale, but after knocking out Theon, I thought his 20 men just walked away and let the 500 take control and burn it to the ground?
It didn't really show how the 20 men got away IIRC.

Getting restless? This series has completely turned away from the books in parts. But I suppose that's probably due to characters disappearing for a long time in ASOIAF Jaime to Dorne baffled me
