That was due to the price of oil, not tax.

We weren't billions in debt in 2009
No offense, but if this got no change:
Then neither will 1,000 people driving slowly

Bread goes up 1p - no one cares
Petrol goes up 1p - riots

it was in the paper yesterday that the price of oil dipped under $100 a barrel on thursday.
not sure whether it's shot back up? but if it stays like that for a while then we should start seeing price drops.
petrol has been rising steadily for months now. every week i fill up my car and it's always going up 1p every time.

2/3 of petrol cost is tax anyway, lets see the tax cut.
Then make up for the loss in revenue where?
Or by making further financial cuts eleswhere?
Or by shipping every Johnny Foreigner and his illegal immigrant chums back to where they came from.
Cha ching! No more tax money being spent on various benefits to keep them in this country.
Sure that would put a few quid back in the back pocket of the Government

What you say is mostly correct, but it has gone down before, by a good 25% (2009), it theoritically could happen to avoid a major civil unrest.

The government wouldn't have the money to do it.
It's about twice the price it was in 2009 here tbh.

Do your parents ever say what the price of fuel was when they were young? exactly. It's the same for us, it's only going to get more expensive, maybe a slight de-crease but then it will be up again in no time. It will never be close to 90p a litre again so get used to it.
we'll have to pay it until the invent a cheap substitute.

I filled up with 100 RON V-Power for €1.799 yesterday, it's down to €1.779 today, and has fallen at least a cent every day since the middle of last week

Just been he petrol station and got my weeks fuel, don't fancy waiting until tomorrow evening and being faced with a 20 minute wait which is what normally happens when stuff like this goes on.
Protest is a waste of time anyway, fuel isn't going down. Time to face facts

There's been a almost $20 drop in the price of fuel and a handful of petrol stations round here have drop their prices by 1p. BP put their prices up 1p.
Now THAT'S not fair.
