You're going too deep on the calf raises mate, that's why. You'll blow your knees if you're not careful.

Learn to walk like a chav (right up on the balls of your feet). Apparently that's how I walk and mine have always been big.

Hammered legs tonight, weigh 60kg, usually squat 100kg for around 8 reps all the way down past horizontal.
For some reason my feet kill when doing calves to the point where I have to stop before my calves start hurting.

You mean have more of my foot over the ledge? I currently have my feet quite close together and push off the ball of my foot, I find they roll slightly outwards over the outer edge of my foot as a raise up and it's the outer edge that aches. I've tried lots of different techniques but nothing seems to help.

I wish you'd all do olympic lifts instead of calf raises I reckon some of you would be pretty decent. It makes me sad

We have completely different training goals so I'm not sure there's much point me talking about it seriously
We can still be friends and hold hands though. Even Russ

6 months. I mix it up, find it's better when I train them before legs.
This week after legs I just did 4 sets seated donkey calf raises and 3 sets of standing smith machine on a step raises before I realise my feet were hurting and my calves weren't so went home.

I managed to get to 60kg on each side (on the smith) for 3 sets of 8) then going down to 40kg and blast a few off to failure then straight to 20kg. (nearly spewed a couple of times!) Which I thought wasn't too bad. Pre-season and running has taken over now though.
