Yeah I don't care about handling. Rather my car was well fast at Santa pod and was totally uninvolving to drive with no feedback or feeling of being connected to the road so I can really push the car.

There supposedly very bad on fuel as well. My mate has a blue one and says it's so bad on fuel he'd be as well running an Evo lol.

Yeah was Gunna suggest black wheels. Someone on here posted some pictures of one a while back. Looks saucy.
Also handling doesn't mean grip.

Fuel consumption is decent TBH, the Mini must be awful if I think this is good. Had half a tank driven home from Winchester, driven around yesterday and today still got quarter tank.
Wheels, H&R springs, Cup Spoiler, yes.

I'd rather the VXR, better looking, better tuning potential and the handling can't be that much worse... for N/A though hats off to the Clio... it's almost as good as an ep3
Having driven both, i would say the clio is better
To clarify you've driven the ep3 and the clio or the vxr and the clio (or all of them)!?
Let's not forget the ep3 was designed in 2001 so it's getting on a bit now... (compared to the clio in 2006 and the corsa 2007)...

Black wheels will be loads nicer than white wheels. You need to fight him about the spoiler instead.

white wheels are impractical for people who don't have the time to clean them every day.

I agree with Steve on this one, White wheels would look great and different from the norm.

nice to hear your comments with comparing to vxr etc! i never drove my clio 197 before i fitted the kw suspension so not sure wot it was like standard! its great fun little car on twisty b roads with heavy breaking!
but totally agree its not fast but no slow, get cought at low revs and without changing down takes an age to pick up! lol
i went from a vx220 with 290hp, so a car thats VERY fast and handles well..........to the clio and i dont miss the vx220! can have just as much fun in the clio on normal roads and your not doing speed that are gonna loose your licence!
also another good point is they are really safe cars, think this is one reason y they are not so fast as the older clios....lots more weight to make them safer! think theyre would always be a little bit inside me worring if i was driving a 106gti fast if i did loose it....its gonna hurt!
