I can see people's point BUT

Its like ranting about reading a newspaper and not reading the news you want to hear
Or
Turning on the TV and not seeing the programs you want to see

Is it really that much of a drama?
Who's decision is it what should be posted and what shouldn't?

I personally find people who use status updates to dig at someone, bitch or generally shit stir more annoying than someone posting pics of offspring

I don't mind people showing pictures of there kids but what i can't get my head around is why they have there kids as there profile picture instead of themselves.

Not quite the same; you have the choice to 'unfriend'/hide someone on a social networking site whereas you don't have any real influence on what you read in a newspaper or the programming on TV. I still stand by my rant though, i don't understand why some parents on social networking sites feel the need to contiously post pictures of their kids. Same with animals, don't understand why someone needs to post pictures of their horse every five minutes

True, I suppose that's the shallow aspect of social networking.

Reeks of the truth being the exact opposite I find. One of the many serial offenders for posting things like "had a lovely day with my little family xxxxxxxxxx" etc. just split up with her fella the other day, things not so rosey after all. I knew it!

I hate it when people go on about their kids generally in life so I can't be doing with it on facebook either. I just write stuff about football mainly on mine, hope that pisses the twats off.

i have friends that post pictures of their kids doing everything, i normally just hide their posts from now on. the occasional interesting update is not worth the other 60985454 inane updates that they post IMO

Exactly that! This is mostly being posted by a girl who has recently split from her fella. He has since moved on and got another girl. So now she keeps posting guff like that.
