Because its not an original GTE 16v anymore in some peoples opinions....but whatever.

i kinda do aswell i know the cars not totally original anyway but i dont want to make huge changes to it plus i just sold a let astra as couldnt be assed with the running costs lol

speedlines are staying steve standard wheels are gash to say the least

Exactly what I was going to say. There are very few of these cars on the road as it is, and one of the main things that differentiates it from the rest of the range is that XE engine. If you're going to engine convert a car, then why go through all the trouble to get a GTE/GSi/SRi etc when there are thousands more out there that nobody will miss, like a 1.2 SXI in the case of the Corsa C? Call me a purist if you want, but that's my view on the matter.

A dont understand why ppl like 8vs there scrap 16v are top range for a reason there better

mk2s are geting rare now so finding good base models is just as hard as finding a good gte

i put a let in mine as i wanted it quicker,and i like the mod cons the gte has

so why would i buy a poverty spec astra just because i wanted to fit a let?

i just think any mint cars of this age should be left alone in there original condition.

plenty of other cars to fuck about with like that are common place

maybe im just giving old astra gte's more credit then they're worth
