I looked at 2 or 3, couple 225's and a 180. They were early ones though a they were the only ones in my budget which probably didn't help.

With your budget you could probably get a very well looked after one, and if you can make sure the common things have been done then even better!

V6 will sound better

I dont have a budget as such, just dont fancy spending loads, wouldnt part with like 7k for one as its not a bargain then!! Reckon a good one can be had for 4-5k-ish? If I can get a V6 for my money i'd be over the moon, less to go wrong than the 1.8T AUX engine as well. DSG's meant to be reliable too & I know SMG is spot on so this cant be too much different!!

if im 100% honest i much prefered the golf to the tt... worst thing was how stupidly small the windows are if your trying to talk to someone whos outside the car.

if i had the choice id get a r32

I dont really talk to folk when im in a car, unless there sat next to me. Really all I need is something for popping to the shops, down the gym & occasional boredom drives.

i would get the corrado VR6, but i don't think you want that hassle

why dont yo go on autotrader and put in your maximum price and mileage you want to travel and see what pops up? or have you already done that

Great cars, I'd have another! Look at a QS they have dropped in price alot!

Usual 1.8T problems but I owned mine 18months and other than 1 coil back and 1 split hose was great!

Check instrument panel works fine.
