We wont magically increased gates if we were to play Man Utd Reserves. How many fans do you actually think will turn up to away games, they dont get many as they stand now, why would they travel to Hayes or Tamworth for a game? There would probably be even less than teams like that bring already.
And TV money, where would this money come from? We'd get screwed like we always do because we are a small club. They have us in a vice and know we will accept anything. Do you know what we currently get for a televised game? £5k for a home team and 1.5K for an away team. It doesnt even cover the loss of support from playing games on stupid nights. We'd be forced to accept peanuts.
As far as I can see it isn't even debateable. If the big sides have a second string in the bottom tier then the TV money will 100% increase as will the fans through the gates.

Sky are not going to show man utd ressies v Hayes & Yeading FFS 
They barely even show L1 games that attract 10,000+ crowds Why would they show one with 600 people at including 12 wierd man utd fans who happen to live in the area?

Worth noting as well that they play their games at Altrincham's ground, the financial input they receive from this is obviously massive...Which is why they got relegated last season and are currently pulling up no tree in Conf North

I support a team which has just came up the the Prem (Norwich) and think it is a pretty stupid idea, a bit like the idea of scrapping relegation it is pointless.
AVB looks a bit like Papa Smurf anyway.
