I agree with alot of comments on here. All supermarkets shops etc would update their system as there profits would soar . It really really annoys me . I know someone who has a new golf 61 golf on finance and manages to pay with his benefits rents his mums house but she lives there so he's basically paying her mortgage and getting a car out of the system too .
Like people have said IMO
1) no luxuries , the country is keeping you going not entertaining lifestyles, if you want a lifestyle you work , if you can't get a job tough it's 2012. No mobiles use telephone box . No sky, play with your 7 kids , maybe of they had to do this they wouldnt have so many
No choice of house . Council should buy all cheap houses and home the people rather than renting off landlords . If they want to live near there friends school etc then get a job and choose your area, until then you have alot of time doing nothing so walk, this will also keep you fit and reduce nhs obesity costs .
No money at all is available to them. A card for food , make it illegal to buy drink or cigs on said card. If you want to smoke then smoke your own money away not the country's .
These scroungers should feel embarrassed about not working . Why should all the country's hard working folk suffer such ever increasing tax cuts to pay for a lazy fuckers 200 lambert . Someone needs to man the fuck up stand up and tell this country what's going on before it's too late for all of us.
I know there is some genuine cases . So put them on system . I dont care what people say there are jobs , maybe not high paid jobs but it's a start . What would happen if we all quit working and there was no money in lofts left by existing tenants ? We would be fooked

Luxuries should be funded by stealing money from the lofts of close family IMO.

I highly doubt that his benefits are paying his mums mortgage, and if he is he has only done so by making a fraudulent claim.

I fit brand new heating systems into these peoples houses every day. 90% of them are fucking arseholes too. they have all sorts of gear that I want but cant afford. I know in my head that they are scum and that Im better than them. makes me feel nice. doesnt really cure the problem though
the people that say "get off your arse and work" arnt sorting things either. go out and work where? there are no jobs. Im sure some of them want to, the moajority wont though.
not really the governments fault either. these people need to be kept. no with such a lavish lifestyle, and you should certainly be well better off if your up in the morning.
Problem I see is that there are simply too many people in the UK. not quite sure how you sort that though
we need another propper war.

How do you work that one out?
Lots more people wanting to work means more tax means a better standard for everyone. Its a work-shy portion of the population thats the problem not the number.

There are plenty of jobs about. The reason so many people are unemployed is they are either shitheads and blatently unemployable or they think they are too good for minimum wage

I agree with the comments. Although I can easily understand the food costs when split down its only 4.50 per person per day, which would allow quite good quality food etc but its not as ridiculous as the sky and mobile phone bills

They should give them bt infinity or virgin medic fiber optic allowance for their internet, can't be having adsl and I hope it's the full sky package, otherwise that's just a waste of tax payers money really.
They probably need a tv allowance for the sky tv, to make the most of it and some sort of allowance so they can buy a decent computer for the internet, all adds up.
*sarcasm* (for cs members lacking the ability to detect it, is quite a few)

Aint' read the whole thread so not sure if it's come up but........
I think they should be given vouchers. Not cash. Vouchers can only be spent with ID corresponding to the person and only for essentials.
I know it doesn't sound perfect but with some ironing out it would work. So, basically they can't buy luxuries, only essentials.

of course theres jobs. over the last 4 months lots of my friends here at uni have got jobs.
these dole scroungers earn more by claiming benefits so dont want to take minimum wage jobs. benefits should NOT exceed minimum wage, the government clearly think thats the minimum you need to earn to live if you have a job so why does it cost more to live if youre unemployed?

we have unemployment figure through the roof because these idiots know they can have more without lifting a finger. Change that and you watch unemployment fall.
not saying there are jobs for absolutely everybody but there would be a damn sight less unemployed

like i said, plenty of people would rather be unemployed because it pays better. then theres the thousands who have been on benefits for years and never worked, would you hire them? also the number of graduates are increasing, but many of them have useless degrees and cant find a related job but wont take lesser jobs due to feeling like theyre above them.

I'd go further and only allow items which zero-rated for VAT.

Also think its a disgrace that they even have a television, I don't and I made that decision when I was on a lot more money than I'm on now.
If there are not jobs - sound - stay unemployed - but don't spend your benefits on alcohol and hundreds of TV channels.
I've no objection in principle to anyone obtaining benefits if they can't find employment, but I object quite strongly to them having a better lifestyle than people who are working.
Not even clear how they're spending £30pw on transport, how old are the kids?

We all know this figures are inflated . Why can't they walk? I'll tell u why it's because they are fucking lazy and getting lazier by the day , they get taxis everywhere. If they take their tv's and cig money it may be some incentive to get a frigging job
