Yup. Only one that will hold value will be the white ones and that's only as long as white cars are popular.
People who don't care about depreciation are either extremely flush or stupid.

Love these, don't see what the big deal about deprecation is. Buy one for 5k, nail it round for a couple of years you'll still get at least 2k max for it. Seems fine to me
Edited for truth.
2k deprecation over 2 years I spend more on trainer's

It's not the amount that's the problem, it's the percentage of the cars value.
2k off a 20k car isn't much, 2k off a 5k car is a lot.

How many cars these days hold their value? Apart from diesels and the more rare petrol cars there isnt a lot.

Not about that either, it's about the real possibility they'll plummet like the clio's did. Obviously everything depreciates.

Bought my Clio for £7k sold for £4.7k 18months later.
That's a lot of money down the pisser. I sold it because I could see it plummeting more. Lease a new one or nearly new but don't bother till they are über cheap unless you plan to keep it a long time or just don't care about safeguarding your money.

sometimes i like these and then other times i just think they are a mis match of lines and angles.
take the petrol flap for example, could have been a nice circle, but no, lets just stick an asian dinner plate on the car.

An equivalent age and spec diesel golf isn't really a step down either.

i have a Black 04 FF 225. Yes i've had problems, bout it at 49K and after 7K the oil pump seized and i needed a new engine, but i picked a second hand one up for £450 that only had 19k on it, but i also replaced the turbo, clutch and flywheel while it was out so cost me just over 2K. Since then it's been alright as long as you maintain it, usual problems include injectors, window regs (water gets in but you can refurb them, don't always need new one) keyless entry also suffers from water penetration. discs are expensive but then what do you expect for the size of them, if you can do most jobs yourself then you will be ok, but will probably cost you a bit if you have a garage do everything. another common problem is swivel hub bearings but these can also be replaced, but renault will try to get you to buy a whole new hub £500+ yes the caliper pins do seize but all it needs is some copper grease every 6 months and then they'll be fine, this could happen on any similar brembos so thats not car specific. headlights are a pain in the arse but it is acheivable you just need long arms. think thats it, overall it is an awesome car to drive, for speed and handling, yes they have thier problems but i would say if you are alright with cars then most of it you can fix yourself tbh

When i had mine done it was so smooth it was unreal. It obviously got worse over time but you just learn to live with it. Then after about 4 months and the cold weather come, it got worse to which i thought ill try the warrenty company to which i found it was coverd. Obsolute bell-ends, but thats another story.
I booked it into my local renault (which they didnt like, yet it was in my rights to take it where i want and was sole the policy on that basis), and it was £210 fitted. I think the mount was £120 and rest was labour. If you did it yourself it would cost about 50.
