This tbh. Test drove an R26 F1 before i bought the Astra and you could get certainly get on the power earlier.

I'm also with Steve over the whole 'X car has a diff' thing, especially with the one car has a diff one doesn't argument. Its properly stupid tbh 'cus every car has some sort of diff and very rarely do people actually discuss what diff is being used.

Do they all have keyless entry or is that another extra?

Have a feeling the keyless entry is standard. The keycards are a bit flakey though 'cus the microswitches for the lock/unlock can break, which means a new keycard which isn't cheap.

It won't be titanium but you could get a custom jobby for £500 notes anyway. Similar cage for 1k, or go full for £1700-£2000. Better bucket seats. I reckon you could build a proper track spec much higher than the R26-R for 10k including buying the car. Maybe a bit more, but still saving £6-9k and having a car better prepared.

Do it they have dropped loads 06/07 plates due to the cambelt needed to be done and costing nearly 1k at dealers but specialist will do it for around 500ish.

Brakes arnt as expensive as made out would can replace all the pads and discs for around 300.

Tyres you can change to 225/40/18 so the price is alot better.

I'm not particularly bothered about colour as long as it's the right price.

Same as nick really.

I once when on a motorway journey for 150 miles at 90mph constant (cruise) and it did 27.something mpg.

Use to average 30-32 on way to work driving as per the law. Sometimes would drop to 27 with a quick blast too 130 on a dual carridge way then realise i should chill out im only going to work

I would say 30 average is realistically achievable. When i first got it, i had it showing 16.1 average for the first weekend

Think he was trying to imply you were backtracking by saying you did 130 but then pretending you didn't when somebody pointed it out
