Fucking LOL @ this.

Congrats on taking my bait. What's funny? I could understand John wanting to spend that sort of money for example, but if my mum said she wanted to spend £4k on a watch I would think she's an idiot.

Your logic is what is funny but we have been over this many times before. I'll leave you to your gold plated laptop bag, as I know you are such a big laptop bag enthusiast.

Why drive a starlet when you could have a watch with more engineering in it?

We have been over it many times before, but your side of the argument is always pretty weak. Gold plated laptop bag?

All I was saying was that £4k on a watch for someone who isn't a watch enthusiast seems ridiculous, I stand by that opinion. It seems that in that case Byron is into watches, so I can understand that (to a certain extent).

You want an expensive laptop bag when a cheaper one would suffice. No?

Well, the most expensive one I was looking at was £200, slightly different to £4k. But I just looked for one that I liked the look of, I didn't say "I've got £200 to spend on a laptop bag, what shall I get?"

If I found one I liked the look of for 99p I would have got that.

set a new trend/standard in the portfolio manager scene. Hire some security to follow you around when you go out, will get more attention than the watch thing

Omega sea/speedmaster and some change. Rolex sub? Jaeger le-coultre?

To be fair there is a lot of smart casual watches you can get for 4k. What styles do you like?

Why drive a nice car when a £500 corsa will do the same job.
Why have home cinema set up when a 32" CRT tv will do the same job.
ETC ETC

A ferrari over a £500 corsa has advantageous of brilliant handling and high horsepower for starters.

A home cinema system worth 20k, sounds alot nicer and provides clearer pictures than a 32" crt tv

But, a £4k watch will only say the same time as a £10 watch. what else does it do?
