Why would you keep large amounts of money in the house?
I reckon we've got about £3.50 around the house in total.
Haven't got a safe either.

i have about £400 just in coins not really trying to save them, i just sling my change in some jars and bag it up every few months, then can't be arsed to take it to the bank and it builds up.
Notes, i just chuck some on the bookcase whenever i go the cash point and draw out my daily maximum, always take the most you can out at time to avoid the £1.99 charge
its a good way of saving apart from the no interest thing

its not banks, its like a third party cashpoint that they put in petrol stations or local shop etc.
they rent the floor space iirc, bit like a fruit machine

i wouldn't sleep on a night knowing i have money all over the house incase i get robbed iv got a bottle i keep change in but id be lucky if there was any more that 15 - 20 quid in it ant any one time
