If I won the million raffle I would put it in a savings account and get a nice £30k a year interest wage...basically I would be fine my whole life without fucking it all away.

Except due to inflation you wouldn't have a 'real' income of anywhere near that much, but never mind.

The smart money as mentioned above is to Live off the interest which would subsidise my income enough to live like a millionaire but without touching the windfall.
So upgrade the house to one a bit bigger and get that Porsche I'm always going on about, few holidays nothing too mental otherwise the bubble will quickly burst!
105M fuck knows can't even comprehend that much money, question should be what wouldn't you do!!

Or possibly buy 3-4 houses in a local estate.
Then live off the rent, eventually when im old sell them and retire to some sunny place.

For £1million I would buy myself a decent little house which needs some work and buy my mum a house.
Would put 100k away.
Would then go and buy a nice weekend motor and a newer daily runner.
For the £105million, I would retire a few decent people I know and give out loads of little sums like £5k to people I think deserve it.
But first thing I would do is go and buy several Dodge Vipers and a tanker of fuel.

I've always said I wouldn't tell my wife straight away. And just turn up home in a random supercar.

Is that even possible though? First off they send someone to come pick you up, takes ages to verify it and it's definitely instantly that you get your money...

I'd spend it all on women and drugs. I'd also pay for a few people to be killed who have wronged me in the past.
Or I'd be sensible and invest it all in Facebook shares

I'd get the a/c repaired on my car. Prefer not to drive with the windows down as I can't hear my iPod.

First thing I would do would be to quit work. Pay my loans off. Get a months holiday booked in some nice hot country. Then go and get my dream, Orange Lambo Gallardo and a nice big house, not stupidly big but as long as it's got big garage. Also get a perfectly tuned American Muscle Car imported over. Similar to the one off 2f2f.

won the million ; I would goto uni and do a degree but pay myself 50k a year for 4 years. Give money to family. Buy a flat in glasgow and leave the rest for starting a business up when i finished uni
Won 105 million - would go totally fucking bonkers, I would buy hundreds of stuff, I would buy michelle mone!! I would buy a retired harrier jump jet and have it taken to peices and rebuilt in my penthouse flat in new york, just for shits and giggles. Then I would hire michael mcintyre to come sing me to sleep one night just because I can.
the potential damage I could cause with 105million in my account is scary
iam away to put a few tickets on now

My mate posted this on FB the other day, he was two digits off £80k, not a bad effort.

Having done the lottery for the last 4 years every week and not even won £1 I'm not optimisic about winning this.
Living off the interest of £1mil @ 5% would be just over £4k a month, providing you were sensible you could easily quit work.

interest rates haven't been 5% for quite a while now... plus you get taxed on the money you get from interest unless its in an isa - so not as much 'income as you expect'.
Then finally, as someone pointed out above, if inflation is 3% and the interest on your money is 3% you're not actually gaining any money - so by spending that interest you'll eventually end up penny less when your million is worth peanuts.
- I don't see what the obsession with jacking in work completely is on a mil. It would give you the freedom to go 'work' on something you enjoy doing.
But if you are looking for an investment, buying some properties and renting them out is not a bad shout. The rent will give you a return close to the interest you would receive on your money in the bank, but the properties value should rise with inflation meaning the money remains worth something in years to come (providing house prices continue to rise at least in line with inflation).

I got the first 3 numbers on the normal Lotto once. First was I was thinking, 'good start'. Second one, 'Good good'. Third one, 'errrr ok, this is interesting'. Then fuck all after

I'd rather keep working than retire on £30k a year if I won £1m.

If I won a million I'd definately keep working, but not earning money for other people - I'd probably try and invest in houses to rent out/renovate and sell on
