That scene is horrible.
Amen to that. Still horrible now.

It seems to reveal every single plot line...
Some of the casting looks good if nothing else.

LA Takedown
Manhunter
Plus Reservoir Dogs took it's inspiration directly from City On Fire, amongst others. Even replicating scenes.

starting to get really pissed off with all of these reboots!!!
Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Thor, The Hulk, Antman!!!... blar blar blar then we have all the bloody sequels... MiB, The Hangover, Shrek, Pirates of the Caribbean, Transformers.
I have to be honest, I do like the reboot of Star Trek, however I'm getting feed up with hollywood feeble attempt to think of anything new!
I have a feeling Robocop will be a flop, however I'm sure they'll manage to make some profit to fund the next pile of crap that dream up, oh sorry... I meant reboot.
I remember watching the original when Murphy got shot up... and I've never watch that scene since! Horrible
pew pew pew pewwwww

It's the way the evil, sadistic c*nts mock and ridicule him that always turned my stomach.
Properly nasty scene.

I'm reminded of the line from 21 Jump Street.
"We're reviving a canceled undercover police program from the '80s and revamping it for modern times. You see the guys in charge of this stuff lack creativity and are completely out of ideas, so all they do now is recycle shit from the past and expect us all not to notice."
I don't mind reboots the same way I don't mind music covers. It's refreshing to see a different approach to existing material.

Looks utter shite. Just another generic middle of the road watered down reboot. No heavy unwieldy suit that makes him move in a robotic way. Now just looks like some channel5 forgettable sci-if Star Gate knock off that can move like a computer game.
Yawn.
Keaton and Oldman about the only plus points.

I was thinking of exactly the same reference, and at least they admitted it in that film (though I quite like it...)

I just can't get over the human hand! Its all a bit Jeremy Beadle
Sliding face shield is a nice touch, however he looks like a man in a suit. Peter Weller looked like a machine.

Particularly as he's shown in a hospital bed still having a hand, I think it's a good idea that he has as much of him left as is poss.
A human hand is always going to be superior to a mechanised one.
They've obviously salvaged him as best they can, much as would be done in real life, so it makes good sense to me.
It's not as though the original isn't just a really silly blockbuster/sci fi film anyway

It just shows how different films are now. In the original they managed to salvage an arm and got told to chop it off Now it's all a bit soppy and pg13.
