Timber framed arent they? Pretty shit but they're cheap to buy and when they are only going to get blown over every other year, may as well make them cheap to rebuild.

Me neither, in sure a bakery gettin flooded is worse than the most powerful banks in the world not being able to operate.

Should the most powerful banks in the world be built somewhere they can be put out of action by a bit of a storm?

It was devastating when the Tewkesbury stock market had to close, and it was a crisis when Tewkesbury international airport closed, the ongoing damage and the cost to repair the Tewkesbury underground rail links for millions of people to be able to get home / to and from work.

Steven is bitter that American news channels didn't feature the story when 1mm of rain landed on his mums drive which wrote his 106 off a few years ago IMHO.

9 states have been affected.
If a hurricane that big hit the UK, there wouldn't be much of the UK left afterwards.

I've been keeping an eye on Times Square all day, doesn't seem to have been affected much, been plenty of people and cars about.

Apparently the actual hurricane is in Pennsylvania now.

I bet parts of Louisiana still look like Katrina hit yesturday, let alone 7 years ago.
I remember talking to someone from New Orleans a year after Katrina hit and they said still nothing had been done yet. Bet it still hasn't.

Remember seeing it on Top Gear and it looked like it had happened the night before!

Disgusting that the worlds largest super power just turns a blind eye to it.
