Had nothing to do today so gave it a good clean and polish. Outside is finished, Just waiting on a genuine front grille and fit the cruise control stalk. That is until I see something else!

i wouldn't do much more tbh. you're at that stage where doing more bits to it will make it look tacky/old man trying to hard.

colour coding rear bumper will look good.

Was thinking a bit like this.

I know what you mean ben, Can get it looking right then go too much one one thing and destroy it all!

I would go Gti rear, colour code it, but leave the lower section around the exhaust etc black. Fully colour coded dosn't look right either.

impressive power that after the map, bet your chuffed to bits with it!

heard a few people on here talking about horror stories with these engines, anything to look out for them?

could do with buying a diesel for my commute to work and one of these would fit the bill nicely!

Not done much to the car for the last few months, Kind of left it after buying a new toy!

Had the cruise control fitted and works a treat, Also split an intercooler hose and had to replace that!

Its now in a garage having some cold start problems sorted and i an going to try and source a GT rear splitter and exhaust to finish the rear end off nicely.

Yeah, and a K&N panel filter, Don't think the panel filter makes that much difference though

Kind of fell out with the car for a while after a load of problems. Had various sensors replaced, starter motor, injector wiring loom, new battery, front and rear brakes, handbrake cables and even a fuel pump! Now its all running well (Runs and touches wood very quickly!)

Decided after nearly getting rid to keep it and do a little more to it, so today it started with a little subtle touch of a set of smoked mirror side repeaters.

Before

After

Next is a GTI/GT Exhaust and rear valance to match. If i ever get hold of a decent one!

Bit of a busy one last weekend, Started out by fitting a set of pressed pates and the GTI rear valance to the car. Also got holf of a set of GTI rear flaps to suit.

Got hold of a GTI Exhaust but after having a think have decided to go for a custom stainless cat back jobbie. Thats booked in for the end of February.

And now, The "big job" that broke out was fitting the RCD510 DAB radio along with the DAB antenna in the bootlid (Genuine VW item too!) Makes the dash look a lot more modern.

Next will be getting a bluetooth module to replace the parrot and make it look more factory!

Was messing about on ebay at work bored when I came across a set of wheels I wanted a while ago.

So after a little haggling and a 4 hour round trip i managed to bag them.

Booked in on monday for a cat back stainless exhaust, also waiting on a bluetooth module for the headunit.

Wheels look 100% better!

Now you've fitted that headunit is there any way to retrofit the OEM bluetooth module and bin off the Parrot?

I know the Parrots work well but I hate things that are stuck on as extras on the dash!

New wheels are nice.

Still cannot understand why people spend money buying wind deflectors to stick on their car. Look so awful.

I'm waiting on that turning up, Hoping for it to arrive tomorrow and get it fitted. Just need to find a way of removing the small dents the parrot screen has left in the dash (Been jammed between the centre console and the dash with a metal bracket, Hoping it will pop our with a little heat.
