I think singles are different, especially now. 79p on iTunes means a lot more people are willing to buy a novelty record than when they were £3.99 with 3 b-sides and you had to go to Our Price.

Album sales though, you'd have to be pretty unhinged to buy the Crazy Frog album at £14.99...
