I don't mind the rain and the cold so much. Sundays ride out round bits of open coast line involved some 25mph gusts of wind. In the few weeks I've been out biking definitely say a cross wind or head wind is the worst weather.

Wind is horrendous as no kit will help you. Having to pedal downhill into a head wind really ruins your enthusiasm. But it gets you fit. No pain no gain and all that!

Get out in all weather's. Thats the idea of mud tyres, spiked tyres, and more outdoor clothing types you can shake a stick at.
Riding in tougher conditions i.e. mud etc gets you fitter and stronger too.
Same here.
Clocked up just shy of 350 miles this year already.
I kind of think if I persist in the wind/rain/snow I will be rewarded with a good summer. Thats how it works, right?
Did you sign up to the strava Jan Challenge? I'm only just going to make the first target of 200miles, may do a long route home tonight which should finish it for me

I certainly did. I was hoping for 400 but its looking like I am going to fall short.
The leader of the challenge the other day had clocked up 15000 miles I looked on his profile and it looked like he had tracked a flight he had been on. Cheating bastard

I suppose 100 miles per day is dooable - if you're a Tour de France rider and been to the Lance Armstrong School of Cycling.

210 miles this month from commuting so far, joined up to Strava last night, looks quite cool.

I did some snooping. Seems he's a retired geezer, just goes out on his bike in FLorida everyday.

Bottled it today and went to work in the corsa. Watched the fuel gauge dropping and decided tomorrow I'm going to get out of bed in the middle of the night, about 6:45am, and get ready to leave about 7:10 for work. This will hurt. Not the biking, just the early morning.
