if your that poor should be working every hour you can get tbh.

If your that poor you shouldn't be having a kid

Why has this thread derailed so badly and there's so much hate?

I was unemployed before this job for a little while and now I'm playing catch up with the debts from being out of work, that's all.

If I had a kid at home I wouldn't be complaining about being called up to earn more money.

Unless i've read it wrong, he isn't 'having' a baby, he has a baby.
I cant see why people are giving him a hard time

hmmm... I would actually disagree slightly with that statement.
In our industry (electrical), we have a lot of people who work very long hours and often away from home.
A lot of our engineers are working till gone 7pm and not seeing their kids at night, which isn't something id be willing to do for any amount of money.

Doesn't matter who you are, if you don't have a spare tenner then you are not in a position to raise a child.

On topic, if i have ring one of my lads then i will do so at a reasonable hour, unlike them who ring at 6am when im on day off.

So because hes had a few months not working his child should be in a home?

Also if hes doing 90 hours a week i bet the day/time with his family means a damn lot and reminds him why hes busting a gut.

People are also thinking the child is doing without for whatever reason, based on nothing. Maybe he hasnt got a spare tenner because the child gets everything he/she needs

I was under the impression that misses was up the duff. But again as i said doesn't matter who it is, how is anybody going to raise a child without poverty if things are that bad that you have to weigh up baby food vs nappies etc

Im sorry, but that seems slightly ignorant.
Most people live to their means these days.

If Root is putting food on the table, clothes on the kid's back, and choosing not to top up his phone, then I cant see any problems?

there was a compairision drawn between a tin of milk and a top up, that would seem pretty desperate.

Children are massive variable cost and could require anything at any stage, if being aware of that fact and that i may need more than a £10er at any stage is making me ignorant so be it.

Maybe he had a good paid job, a contract phone and loads of spare money when he had his child but he lost his job and is doing all he can to look after his family?

Aslong as his child is looked after I don't see what his personal circumstances are to do with us. Saying he is a bad parent and shouldn't have kids because he can't top up his phone is a ridiculous statement to make.

I had a go last year at my boss for ringing me on my days off.

Mainly as I was doing 100 hours a week, so really valued my day off, and after finishing work at 1am, didn't like being phoned at 8am on my day off.

He apologised and it didn't happen again.

Till the next week.
