Maybe stop going out everyday and sort a job out? Or are you one of the people who live on the dole and claim that "Theres no jobs out there"

Went for 5

Positive - fairly settled, nice car, secure job, not badly paid

Negative - Poor social life - no friends I hang out with, not well paid, getting lots of grief from people who aren't my responsibility, caught in family arguments

A high standard of living doesn't automatically mean a good quality of life and vice versa. In fact I work with people who have a very poor standard of living, but they have (from stories have been told) great friends and family links that when they come into work always have a smile on their face.

Thats normally because the rich have the skills and drive behind them, the poor do not, so never get anywhere.

Plenty of rich folk about that came from poor backgrounds. The problem is that you'd rather go mess about with your mates than go find a job. If i was in that position i'd volunteer just to keep my hand it.

I used to think like this but was surprised at how bad it actually is. I've applied for all kinds of stuff but been told I'm "over qualified" for shop work etc
The type of work I was doing before there literally are no jobs near me. Currently waiting on my army application but been told that could take until towards the end of the year before I'd actually go for basic training if successful.

Been told if I volunteered it would likely mean I'd lose my benefits. Don't want to be on them but no way do I want to be unable to feed my kids tbh

When I went in the Army, they said the same to me.
After having my interview, it was about 2 weeks before I went for selection day.
Passed that, got told it would be two months before I started basic training at least.
Started basic training about two weeks after

6-7 (as said always room for improvement).

positives
- got a job (which keeps me busy and is interesting but very annoying at the same time),
- great family & fiancée,
- got a car + disposable income,
- all in all in pretty good health so cant really complain about much.

negatives
- still studying but that's my own fault for not putting the effort in previously which is more annoying as I know I could be earning more if I had put the effort in before hand as I would be fully qualified/very close to it.
- still living at home which even though I get on with family and don't really mind it I would still like to be living on my own (well with the other half),
- slight lack of social life (my own fault as I have plenty of other things to be doing that I enjoy, that and the main people that I talk to regularly all live miles away).

with abit of arguing you wont loose them, i did it, i was breifly on the doll between college and uni, i did volunteer work for a race team, they job centre tried getting out of paying as i was no long free to work,

if you have no contract with who ever you volunteer for, your still free to work, other option is not tell them your doing voluntary work....

its an added reference, might learn some thing, and pissing around with race cars was pretty fun

Quite surprised at some of the stuff people believe will make them happier.

If minor things like the state of your car affects how happy you are with your life, then chances are you'll never be truly happy.

10/10

I've got my health, a roof over my head, and enough money for a good night out. Asides from that 95% of my happiness is in keeping my little girl and her mummy happy.
