We do swaps with brewery's from darn sarf, some decent beers. Camden's hells lager is shit though.

Blue Monkey brewery is decent!

Also, Brewdog is craft keg (brewery I work for has just launched our first craft keg) and very fucking snobby about who they (brewdog) sell it too. Proper weird business attitude, seems to be working though.

On average you're paid more down south but it does massively depend on the industry your in and where you are. You can certainly do just as well in IT (certain areas anyway) living in one of the cities up north as you can down here in the capital.

If you're a developer, the best money and jobs are in London. Tech capital of Europe and all that

Very similar set up to my house with the exception of us having a smaller kitchen, but we have 3 bathrooms instead of 2.
Had a look at the ad and the fixtures and fittings are slightly better looking than my Barratt house but considering we paid £179k four years ago that's some price difference!

Probably right if PAYE but i'm not sure if you're a contractor. Certainly i know of a few dev/designer contractors that are based in Manchester and they're all doing extremely well for themselves (six+ figure salaries).

Is anyone serious suggesting that its acceptable to pay 3x what the house is actually worth (and that'd being generous) just because its a bit warmer?

Because if we're playing that game I see your shoe box in the south and raise you this castle on the hillside.

To put things into perspective here is a house in a more rural location on the other side of the M3 for similar money:

So what will £9.6 million buy you in the South?

The list of land and properties included in this is quite impressive

At first glance a similar property would be about 150k cheaper I reckon. Depends if you want to buy it in a honey pot, somewhere like the lakes it would proably cost the same..

You really are a retard, aren't you? I suppose you are from Liverpool, so I wouldn't expect anything less.

Either way, I think I saw 21c late afternoon yesterday, so still warmer than the north.
