resting heart rate is affected by so many external factors though;
stress at work, blood sugar, caffeine etc
need to monitor over the course of 1 to 2 weeks to get a true picture
Also the chart of heart rate over exercise - depends what you are exercising for - fat burn happens further down the heart cycle stage whereas endurance and fitness is higher up
Heartrate gives next to nothing in terms of information to help you understand if your exercise routine is having a positive impact on your lifestyle and body
